Documents & LabelsA packing list describes the physical shipment, a commercial invoice summarizes an entered commercial value, and a bill-of-lading draft prepares transport details for review. These outputs do not book transport, file customs declarations, certify dangerous goods, or create a carrier-approved contract. Reconcile parties, references, commodity lines, weights, and package counts before transferring details to the required final process.
A barcode or container check digit can detect certain transcription errors, but a valid checksum does not prove registration, ownership, allocation, or uniqueness. Use identifiers assigned through your authorized process. A generated SSCC label is not postage or a carrier routing label. Preserve physical dimensions and quiet zones when printing, and verify the actual printed symbol rather than relying solely on its appearance on screen.
