BEHIND THE NUMBER
How the calculation works
Enter one row per invoice item and one currency for the entire document. Unit prices may have up to six decimal places; each line and additional charge is rounded to the selected currency minor units before totaling: whole yen for JPY and two decimals for the other available currencies. Origin and HS code are user-provided references, not independently verified classifications. No signature or certification is added.
Line amount = round(quantity x unit price to currency minor units); total = sum(line amounts) + freight + insurance + other charges
When this calculation helps
A commercial invoice draft combines entered parties, line values, currency, and shipment details. Reconcile quantities and descriptions with the physical packing list before using it as a preparation document.
Check the interpretation
The template does not determine tariff classification, origin, customs value, or destination-specific declarations. Obtain those details through the required trade process. Keep allowances and additional charges distinct so the same amount is not included in line price and added again.
This is a general preparation template, not customs clearance, a tax invoice certification, a bill of lading, or legal advice. Confirm destination-specific fields, classification, values, terms, currency precision, and required declarations before issuing. No signature, license, or ownership assertion is generated. Entered data stays in the browser and is excluded from shared links.
