ProcurementKeep quantity, currency, delivery scope, payment basis, and quality expectations consistent. A supplier unit price is not always the cost to receive a usable unit. Price breaks may reduce purchase price while increasing carrying cost or exposure to obsolete stock. A make-or-buy crossover only has meaning within the volume and cost assumptions being compared.
A scorecard summarizes the measures and weights selected; it does not establish an objective ranking independent of those choices. An invoice audit identifies review questions, not confirmed recoveries. Retain contract versions, approvals, source measurements, and invoice identifiers so a discrepancy can be resolved. Consider service risk, qualification, capacity, and switching effort separately before turning an arithmetic comparison into a supplier decision.
