Inventory turnover
Measure inventory turns and average days in inventory.
PerformanceCompare actual output with design and effective capacity on one consistent time period and output-unit basis.
Compare actual output with design and effective capacity on one consistent time period and output-unit basis.
Percentages above 100 remain visible in the numbers; bars cap at 100%. This is not OEE.
Design capacity is the stated theoretical maximum on your basis. Effective capacity is the lower or equal operating expectation after planned allowances. Actual output can exceed either estimate; percentages above 100 are preserved and flagged rather than silently capped. The visual bars alone cap at 100%.
Utilization compares actual output with design capacity; efficiency compares actual output with effective capacity. Keep those capacities distinct so a planned allowance is not mistaken for an equipment improvement.
A percentage above an entered capacity may signal a changed shift, work mix, or incorrect denominator. It is not automatic evidence of sustainable performance. Review downtime, quality, and congestion before adopting a higher operating target.
This is not OEE, which requires separate availability, performance, and quality factors. Verify capacity estimates, product mix, unit conversions, and period alignment before treating a high percentage as good performance.
Actual output may exceed the entered effective-capacity estimate. Check whether the estimate, conditions, product mix, or output basis changed.
Not under this tool definition. Correct the inputs or use a capacity definition appropriate to your operation before comparing the ratios.
